Graduate Assistantships: SLIM offers Graduate Assistantships & Internships. These opportunities are available for full-time students taking classes in Emporia, and include a bi-weekly stipend plus tuition waiver. Graduate Assistantships and Internships offer a variety of opportunities to build experience in teaching, research and library work. There are several Graduate Assistantships in SLIM which involve work with online and face-to-face classes & research with faculty members. There are two Graduate Assistantships at the ESU Newman Hospital School of Nursing for students interested in medical librarianship. There are two internships available at the Emporia High School for students pursuing a career in K-12 libraries (the High School internships are only available to students who are currently Kansas residents).
