SLIM Demographic Data

Each fall SLIM compiles statistical data on its academic degree programs for an annual report to the Association for Library & Information Science Education (ALISE). The following demographic data is based on the latest ALISE report.

In the Fall Semester of 2007, 365 students enrolled in courses in a SLIM degree program. This student population had the following characteristics:

    Full-time IRS students - 22
    Full-time MLS students - 51
    Full-time PhD students - 6

    Part-time IRS students - 5
    Part-time MLS students - 261
    Part-time PhD students - 20

    Kansas residents - 206
    Out-of-state residents - 159
