Quick Facts about SLIM Oregon:

  • The SLIM Oregon program holds classes in Portland, Oregon. The SLIM Oregon program admits a group of students (a cohort) once a year. Currently, the seventh and eighth cohorts are attending classes. The 9th cohort will begin classes in August 2008. Apply here!

  • Most classes are taught face-to-face in a weekend intensive format with online (Internet) interaction between two weekends.   The typical weekend schedule is Fridays from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • SLIM Oregon students will graduate with a Master of Library Science degree fully accredited by the American Library Association (ALA).

  • Earn your Master of Library Science (MLS) degree in Portland, Oregon without going to the main campus in Emporia, Kansas.
