Michelle Bagley, OR4, recently accepted the position of Library Director at Clark College in Vanvouver, Washington. (March 2008)

Sue Kunda, OR6, is working as a Digital Production Librarian position at Oregon State University. (February 2008)

Penny Wood, OR6, is currently volunteering in a library at Southern African Wildlife College which resides inside of Kruger National Park. (February 2008)

Beginning February 1, Jennifer Whitlock, OR6 will begin a two-year Getty Grant project as a Senior Museum Scientist at the University of California Santa Barbara's University Art Museum. She will do archival processing and cataloging for the Architecture & Design collection and then create EAD finding aids to add to the Online Archive of California. (December 2007)

L-net, Oregon's Statewide Digital Reference Project (http://www.oregonlibraries.net), is recognized Western Oregon
University librarian Camila Gabaldon, OR3 for high quality digital reference work while staffing the service during the Spring 2007 quarter. (December 2007).

Jaime Thoreson, OR5, is accepted a Public Services Librarian position at Tualatin Public Library. (November 2007)

Nono Burling, OR5, is working part-time at the WSU Energy Library. (November 2007)

Laura Baca, OR5, is working part-time as an Adult Librarian with the Cedar Mill Community Library in Washington County. (November 2007)

Rachel Bridgewater, OR4, recently accepted a new position at Reed College in Portland. (October 2007).

Lucinda Eshleman, OR3, is the new academic advising coordinator at Portland Community College's Sylvania Campus. (October 2007)

Chris King, OR4, is currently working as an Information Resources and Technology Librarian for Goddard College. (October 2007)

Rachel Bridgewater, OR4, will lead a SirsiDynix web seminar titled "A Little More Help from your Friends: Social Bookmarking" on November 6. (September 2007)

Katie (Weiby) Staiger, OR2, is completed her second master's degree in strategic communications from the University of Minnesota's School of Journalism and Mass Communications. She continues to work for 3M. (September 2007).

Kevin Moore, OR6, will be working as a Reference Librarian at Mt. Hood Community College Library and as a Part-Time Reference Librarian at Portland Community College, Cascade Campus. (September 2007).

Upon completion of her NLM Fellowship, Meredith Solomon, OR5, accepted the position of Outreach Librarian at the Health Sciences and Human Service Library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Also, Meredith is the ALA/RUSA/STARS Column Editor for 2006-2008. (September 2007)

Nancy Kauffman, OR4, recently accepteda new position: Archivist, Paper and Photographic Collections at the George Eastman House in Rochester, New York. (July 2007)

Rachel Bridgewater, OR4, led an ACRL online seminar on "Current Copyright Issues Facing Academic Libraries," July 16-August 4, 2007.

Lee-Anne Flandreau, OR4, is a Librarian III with the Ft. Vancouver Regional Library in Vancouver , WA . (July 2007)

Mary Davis, OR5, continues to work as an On-Call Librarian for Multnomah County Library. (July 2007)

Two OR4 alumni will serve on the board of the Oregon chapter of ACRL, also known as the Academic Division of the Oregon Library Association. Garrett Trott ( Corban College ) is Vice-President/President-Elect, and Anne-Marie Deitering ( Oregon State University ) is an At-large Member of the board. (July 2007).

Kristin Williams, OR5, is working part time as a Reference Librarian at Whitman County Library. (July 2007)

Creswell Public Library's librarians, Esther Moberg, OR6, and Su Ikeda, OR6, celebrated being one of three libraries to be awarded the first annual Bookapalooza award collection. The award is sponsored by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of ALA. The collections, which consist of books, videos, audiobooks, and recordings produced in 2006 and submitted by children's trade publishers to the 2007 award and media evaluation committees for consideration, are intended to help transform each library's collection and provide an opportunity for these materials to be used in each community in creative and innovative ways. (July 2007)

Beth Heins, OR4, won a 3M/NMRT grant to go to the 2006 ALA annual conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. (Jan 2006)

Holly Gabriel, OR4, recently completed an NLM biomedical informatics fellowship. She works at the University of North Dakota Center for Rural Health, Rural Assistance Center. (Jan 2006)
