Mirah Dow is trained as a teacher and school librarian. Her commitment to school-aged children and youth, teacher-librarians, reflective practices, resource-based solutions for increasing student learning, and technology is seen in her college teaching and recent research investigating cognitive consequences of internet-based teaching and learning. According to Mirah, "Assessment is telling a story. Teacher-librarians must become the best at doing assessment well. This electronic tool kit should set the stage for telling a comprehensive story of student learning and achieving standards."

Harry Willems has worked with fourty school districts since 1993 providing consulting to librarians on all aspects of librarianship. He has worked with administrators of several schools reviewing plans for new libraries adding suggestions to current plans and help with pre-planning of library space usage. He has targeted one aspect of librarianship that will help the librarians, administration and students alike; learning to use library and school standards for cross curricular planning with teachers and doing targeted collection development to achieve the schools academic goals.
