About

• A new Oregon cohort begins each August, which is fall semester.
• Application materials are reviewed upon their receipt, and students are notified of their acceptance status as soon as decisions are made.  The earlier all application materials are received, the earlier a decision can be made. Applicants are encouraged to submit their materials by July 1st for fall admission.
• SLIM Oregon students are admitted as a group (cohort).
• Classes are held on the Portland State University campus in downtown Portland.
• Most classes are face-to-face and taught on weekends about once a month, with online work throughout the semester.
• Hours for classes are Fridays from 6-9 pm and Saturdays from 9 am – 5pm.
• SLIM Oregon students graduate with a Master of Library Science.
• Emporia State University, located in Emporia, Kansas, is accredited by
  the American Library Association (ALA).

• Parking: Parking is free at PSU on Friday evenings, and costs $6 for Saturdays.
  You may park in any of the PSU parking structures; however, you will
  need to purchase a parking pass for Saturday at parking structure #1.
