The
Nigeria Project is an educational partnership between
Emporia State University's School of Library and Information Management
(SLIM) in Emporia, Kansas, USA and three peer institutions in Nigeria:
Bayero University, Kano, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and the University
of Maiduguri.
The
project is designed to foster communication and collaboration between
the faculty and student bodies of partner institutions, thereby
enhancing diverse and global perspectives in their programs. The
outreach component of the project entails strengthening the capacity
of Nigerian institutions, and local public libraries to support
development of civil society in their communities.
