Dr. Robert Grover

Robert Grover has been a member of the SLIM community since 1981. He served as Dean of SLIM from 1981 to 1987, from 1998 to 2002, and as the Interim Dean during the academic year 2006-2007. Dr. Grover has also been Director of the School of Library and Information Science at the University of South Florida, the Dean of Graduate Studies at Emporia State University, and the Associate Vice-President for Academic Affairs at ESU. His professional experience is in the school library media field, and since 1990 he has worked closely with the Kansas Association of School Librarians, chairing the KASL Research Committee, 1994-2001; that committee created a model for planning and assessing learning and tested that model in Kansas schools. His teaching has included information psychology, school library media management, basic information sources, needs assessment, and the capstone class. His B.A. is from Ball State University, and his M.L.S. and Ph.D. are from Indiana University.
