SLIM awarded more than $50,000 in scholarships in 2004 – EMPORIA,
KS
The School of Library and Information Management
(SLIM), at Emporia State University, Emporia,
Kansas, awarded eighty-one financial scholarships in calendar year 2004 totaling $53,529. Scholarships ranged from $100 to $1,000 with an average of $660. SLIM awards scholarships for fall, spring, and summer semesters. Forty-two scholarship recipients were students at the home campus in Emporia. The remaining thirty-nine scholarship recipients were students in the school's Distance Education program. Students from six different states received scholarships.
